1. A Haunting in Venice (2023)
A Haunting in Venice draws inspiration from Agatha Christie’s novel Hallowe’en Party. This film features none other than everyone’s favorite fictitious Belgian detective, Hercule Poirot. In the movie, Poirot is retired and goes to Venice to spend the rest of his days. He attends a séance held at a supposedly haunted building and that’s where murder strikes.
2. It Lives Inside (2023)
It Lives Inside features an Indian-American high school student who goes by the name Sam. She aims to fit into Western society and give up her Indian culture despite her mother’s protests. She soon acquires a white boyfriend and becomes distant from her former Indian friends. One of her friends, Tamira, is abducted by a demonic entity known as Pishach and Sam has to save her by becoming the vessel to trap Pishach.
3. No One Will Save You (2023)
No One Will Save You is a sci-fi horror movie about a young woman singlehandedly battling aliens trying to take over the world. This film is mostly silent with only five words spoken during the entire runtime. However, it is beautifully shot, extremely creative, and easy to understand despite the lack of dialogue.
4. The Menu (2023)
Would you trade your life to eat at an unbelievably expensive restaurant in a secluded secret location, offering an utterly lavish multiple-course meal? The Menu is about an aggravated renowned chef and his staff who invite a group of snobbish elite diners who fancy affluence. Hell breaks loose when members of the staff start killing the diners and themselves, and there’s no escape.
5. The Boogeyman (2023)
The Boogeyman features a high-schooler named Sadie and her younger sister who are coping with the loss of their mother. Their father, a therapist, is no help as he is dealing with his own sorrow. One day a desperate patient approaches the father at the family’s house and leaves behind a supernatural being that feeds on their grief and suffering.
6. Slotherhouse (2023)
If you prefer a horror movie that includes a comedic aspect, Slotherhouse is right up your alley. This movie is the perfect mix of jump scares and fits of laughter, so you are bound to be entertained. It all begins with a young woman who wants to be president of a sorority, so she adopts a sloth, believing that it will help her cause.
7. Clock (2023)
The movie Clock refers to a woman’s biological clock and represents a horrific take on the societal pressures upon women to bear children. It features a woman in her late thirties named Ella who isn’t interested in having kids, yet enrolls in a clinical trial to fix her supposedly dysfunctional biological clock. This movie does get gory with its graphic visuals, so we do not recommend it to the faint of the heart.

Dual is a super cool sci-fi thriller that plays with the idea of human cloning. The story begins with a young woman called Sarah, diagnosed with a terminal illness. She has the option to clone herself to ease the pain of her loved ones, so she takes it. Later, it turns out that she was misdiagnosed and thereby has to confront her clone in a duel to death.
9. Fresh (2022)
Fresh is all about the horrors of modern dating and the plot twist is disturbingly refreshing. A young woman has almost given up on relationships after meeting several disappointing men through dating apps. Suddenly, she runs into the perfect guy at a grocery store and everything seems like a dream come true, until she discovers his unusual appetite.
10. Nightmare Alley (2021)
Nightmare Alley is a dark and sadistic psychological thriller set in the 1940s. It tells a story about the scum of the deprived showbiz industry, consisting of grifters, hustlers, and other shady characters. Bradley Cooper masterfully brings the protagonist Stan to life; his faultless acting is complemented by the equally amazing screenplay and direction.
